Job Description
North River Partners is seeking to hire an Analyst to join its debt investments team. The Analyst will be involved in analyzing and underwriting new loans, conducting property and borrower level due diligence, running transaction management on loans under application, and asset managing through the construction lifecycle. The Analyst will be exposed to all facets of North River’s business with an opportunity for substantial involvement and growth. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluating and analyzing investment opportunities (debt investing) – specifically, excel financial modeling;
- Generating financial analyses and investment committee memoranda detailing investment rationale, sensitivity analyses, risks / mitigants, and returns;
- Performing origination due diligence, including comparable analyses, hiring third-party vendors, and preparing due diligence memoranda’s;
- Summarizing conclusions generated from financial analysis and due diligence, and making recommendations;
- Working to provide reporting to capital partners through the life of the loan; and
- Asset managing loans through construction and lease-up
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 - 5 years of experience in real estate investing, or brokerage
- Expert level experience with financial modeling and/or excel
- Expert level experience with MS Word and MS PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
