Chief Investment Officer or CFO

We are retained by a family office that owns and operates a $1.3B portfolio of real estate that includes: retail/industrial/senior housing/student housing properties nationally. The CFO or CIO will report to the Board of Directors that will include 4 family members and an advisor and will have the following responsibilities:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer or Chief Investment Officer at our client. The position is located in Austin, TX. They will relocate someone to Austin.  If the individual is currently a CFO they must have a investment heavy focus.  

· In charge of Financial, Legal, Acquisitions, Asset Management and Human Resources for the company.

· All Department heads for Finance, Acquisition, Asset Management and Human Resources report to the CFO/CIO.

. Handle new acquisitions, including contract negotiation, legal, loan origination, review of financial analysis..

. Handle all Real Estate Development

. Responsible for all Raising of Capital 

· Interface with outside CPAs, legal counsel and lenders.

· Responsible for origination of all new debt to finance acquisitions and/or refinances existing properties.

· Continually monitor and analyze the performance of the portfolio and optimize results considering cash flows and 10 year IRRs. 

· Develop an annual capital distribution vs reinvestment strategies and present to the Management Committee.

· Coordinate the filing of all partnership tax returns with IRS.

· Develop and oversee insurance strategy for portfolio.

· Evolve strategies to minimize partners’ taxable income.

· Oversee employee compensation programs, including benefits.

· Ensure the timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports and presentations.
