Job Description
This person will ensure successful execution of investment-specific business plans through the oversight of leasing, budget development and review, capital expenditure programs, as well as participating in any sales, refinancing, and disposition strategies. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of real estate industry experience relevant to Asset Management and the following job responsibilities:
- Support the execution of the business plans for each property, including oversight of leasing objectives and operating and capital budgets
- Negotiate and mark up key agreements including leases, purchase and sale agreements, management and agency agreements, operating and partnership agreements, and loan documents
- Maintain monthly or quarterly asset management reports, which include actual vs. budget comparisons, qualitative performance updates, and changes in the market, property, and business plans as compared to underwriting
- Oversee commercial leasing from start to finish, including developing MLAs, analyzing proposals, marking up LOIs, and negotiating lease agreements
- Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes in collaboration with internal teams; identify risks and uncover opportunities to improve returns and grow NOI
- Work in conjunction with project management and construction teams to oversee tenant improvements and capital projects
- Function as a collaborator with strong interpersonal/communication skills, and be able interact with lenders and partners in an effective and confident manner
- Engage and direct third-party vendors, including leasing and sales brokers, attorneys, and construction professionals
- Contribute transaction experience, ideally on the principal side across multiple asset classes, most importantly commercial office, and retail
- Proficiency in Excel, Argus, and Yardi
