The Company:
Our client oversees the planning, development, and management of a diverse real estate portfolio in Southwest Montana, including residential, hospitality, commercial, and workforce housing assets.

At the core of the portfolio are three premier private communities in Big Sky—Yellowstone Club, Spanish Peaks Mountain Club, and Moonlight Basin. Surrounding these are a growing mix of supporting assets, including residential neighborhoods, hotels, mixed-use buildings, and community infrastructure. The firm is also leading the next phase of Big Sky’s Town Center development, which will add new housing, hospitality, and public amenities to the area. Other active projects include a hotel in downtown Bozeman and long-term planning at Crazy Mountain Ranch.

While the firm’s continued success in Southwest Montana, the firm is evaluating growth plans that may include development projects throughout the United States and internationally. 

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate, Asset Management. This individual will play an integral role within the team, working closely with our real estate investment, development, and operations teams across a diverse portfolio of residential, private club, and hospitality assets.

This role combines hands-on execution with the opportunity for strategic input and leadership growth. Ideal candidates will be highly analytical, demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and possess the ability to manage cross-functional processes while clearly communicating insights and action items.

The position offers a high degree of exposure and influence, with the opportunity to shape internal processes and contribute to the evolution of best practices. A working knowledge of asset management principles will be critical to success and long-term growth within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update asset management models in coordination with construction, accounting, and finance teams
  • Prepare financial forecasts and assess asset and portfolio performance
  • Support capital markets activities, including debt/equity raises and investor reporting
  • Conduct market research to inform planning and provide actionable insights
  • Review operating performance and assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly investor reports and other stakeholder materials
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate and timely documentation
  • Participate in internal asset management reviews and help implement process improvements
  • Clearly communicate findings through presentations, memos, and verbal briefings
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met with a high standard of quality
 
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate asset management, acquisitions, development, or finance
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience managing real estate financial models and coordinating across teams (construction, accounting, finance)
  • Strong financial analysis and forecasting capabilities, with the ability to assess asset and portfolio performance
  • Ability to synthesize market research into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Familiarity with capital markets processes, including debt and equity transactions
  • Experience preparing investor materials and supporting external communications
  • Comfort reviewing and interpreting operating performance, budgets, and audit documentation
  • Skilled in clearly presenting findings through memos, decks, and verbal briefings
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ownership over quality and accuracy of work
  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
  • Team player with the potential to help shape internal processes and best practices
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields as required
  • Additional related experience would be considered in lieu of a completed degree program
