Brookwood Management Partners, LLC, an affiliate of Brookwood Financial Partners, LLC, is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to assist a Commercial Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of class A & B office properties in suburban Philadelphia, PA. Based in Fort Washington, this position provides an excellent opportunity for career development with a commercial real estate investment firm.
 
Job Summary:
The Assistant Property Manager assists the Property Manager with day-to-day management of the assigned property/properties.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • May direct the work of employees in lower job classifications.
  • May assist in training newly hired employees. 
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Perform general office duties, order office supplies, answer phones, check mail, troubleshoot IT issues;
  • Create vendor contracts, set up new vendors and process invoices for payment;
  • Maintain certificate of insurance for all vendors and tenants;
  • Conduct routine inspections and site visits to ensure our properties are maintained to a high standard;
  • Administer tenant billing, invoicing, rent collection procedures and monitor aged receivable report;
  • Coordinate all incoming tenant requests for maintenance or property amenities; 
  • Coordinate and organize tenant appreciation events; quarterly newsletters;
  • Participate in monthly leasing calls and maintain tenant lease files;
  • Assist Property Manager with budget preparation, CAMs
  • Assist in the oversight of building and tenant improvements;
  • Complete monthly accruals, reclasses and variance reports;
  • Assist with office tours, move-ins, and move-outs; 
  • Assist with emergency and evacuation procedures;
 
Required Skills/Abilities: 
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbally.
  • Possess strong communication, organizational skills and problem solving skills.
  • Has the ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service. 
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to use computer including email and ability to learn property management software.
  • Yardi, Payscan, MRI Angus, and Kardin knowledge a plus.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Two years of experience in commercial real estate preferred.
 
Physical Requirements: 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 
  • Traveling to and walking the property/properties.
