Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as an Assistant Director of Compliance and Asset Management.
This important role will lead, plan, organize and direct the activities of the Compliance and Asset Management Department. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall operation of department and all associated activities pertaining to the physical and financial monitoring of Virginia Housing’s collateral, interests, and investments in multifamily rental communities and all activities pertaining to the compliance monitoring of properties in the Virginia Housing portfolio to ensure that Virginia Housing is in conformance with all federal and state housing programs.

To be successful in this role you must possess:
- An understanding of housing policy mixed with strategic thinking and visioning
- Proficiency in multifamily asset management and risk mitigation, customer service, low-income housing tax credit compliance, communication, project management, financial management, technology and data management.
- Many years of experience in affordable housing finance, rental asset management and compliance, or tax credit compliance.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous people management experience
The ideal candidate would also have:
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in compliance and asset management, finance, asset management & compliance technology, project management, and/or grant management.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering successful outcomes for large-scale projects and initiatives
Virginia Housing requires associates to live and work within the Commonwealth of Virginia. This position reports to our Innsbrook Office in Glen Allen, VA

Hiring Range: $141,262-183,641
A background and motor vehicle check will be performed as a condition of employment.
