In addition to acquiring value-add opportunities, we are actively developing ground-up multifamily projects that align with the evolving needs of renters in high-growth markets.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support the financial operations of our growing real estate platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting, with direct experience in real estate development and property-level financial management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow with an entrepreneurial firm and work across multiple facets of the business, including accounting for ground-up developments, acquisitions and stabilized assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage general ledgers across multiple entities and development projects
  • Prepare property-level and project-level financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  • Record monthly and year-end journal entries; reconcile all bank accounts and intercompany balances
  • Track development costs across multiple projects and reconcile against construction budgets and lender draws
  • Review and process construction draw packages and coordinate with lenders, vendors and internal development teams
  • Support preparation of tax workpapers and coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals
  • Compile and maintain cash flow reports across projects and operating accounts
  • Maintain loan schedules, track interest and principal payments and reconcile escrow and reserve accounts
  • Coordinate with accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate processing of construction and operating invoices, including lien waiver compliance
  • Assist with the preparation of project budgets and reforecasts in collaboration with development and asset management teams
  • Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis for senior management
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and GAAP
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis, cash reporting and special projects as needed
  • Participate in the implementation and optimization of accounting software and processes across the firm

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in the real estate industry is required
  • Real estate development accounting experience is a strong plus
  • Proficient in accounting software including AppFolio, Yardi, QuickBooks and RealPage
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, property management accounting and real estate finance
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines independently
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Health benefits
  • Paid time off and holidays
