Position Overview:
The Executive Director of Multifamily Management is the strategic and operational leader for our client’s growing Multifamily portfolio. Combining data‑driven insight with their Aim Higher culture, the role shapes portfolio strategy, drives superior asset performance, cultivates client partnerships, and develops a highly engaged workforce.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Performance
  • Set annual business plans, KPIs and stretch goals that align with the firm’s Mission, Vision & Values; regularly report progres
  • Evaluate property‑level operations, budgets and capital plans; course‑correct to achieve or exceed financial, customer service and other performance targets.
    o Direct underwriting and pricing strategy for new management contracts, due diligence and other consulting services provided by managed teams.
Financial & Business Growth
  • Manage the assigned departmental budgets and long‑range financial model(s)
  • Aggressively pursue new property management and fee income opportunities; negotiate and execute agreements in coordination with key stakeholders and legal advisors.
  • Report portfolio results, market intelligence and strategic opportunities.
  • Assist with or direct Business Development, Asset Management and Acquisitions efforts as required.
Innovation & Technology
  • Lead cross‑functional adoption of prop‑tech, BI dashboards and AI/automation that improve resident experience, operating efficiency and data integrity.
  • Explores and champions renewable/energy‑saving ideas that advance owner returns.
Talent Development & Culture
  • Directly supervise Directors of Multifamily Management, Director of Maintenance, Commercial Property Management & Multifamily Marketing.
  • Build a diverse and robust pipeline of talent through recruitment, coaching, mentorship, incentive programs and other initiatives.
  • Uphold a psychologically and philosophically safe workplace where every team member can bring their authentic thoughts, experiences and preferences to work.
Client & Stakeholder Partnership
  • Maintain proactive, transparent communication with owners, investors and lenders, delivering insight‑rich reports and strategic recommendations.
  •  Orchestrate national purchasing programs and vendor partnerships that leverage the firm’s scale.
Compliance, Risk & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state and local housing regulations, fair‑housing laws and company policies.
  •  Review insurance program and disaster preparedness planning as it relates to managed departments.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance or related field preferred.
  • 15+ years’ progressive multifamily leadership, including oversight of 20,000+ units and multi‑state teams.
  • CPM®, CAPS, Broker or comparable credentials strongly preferred.

Work Environment & Travel:
Up to 50% overnight travel across the firm’s markets; valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites, client meetings, and industry events as required.
