Job Description
- Lead capital raising efforts for commingled funds and property or portfolio acquisitions with joint venture investors from a mix of investor types including private equity firms, institutional investors (pensions, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, etc), family offices, wealth management firms, high net worth investors and their consultants/financial advisors.
- Source, build, and maintain relationships with allocators/investors/consultants/financial advisors/RIAs/wealth managers.
- Develop a strong understanding of PRG’s strategy, properties, current market view, and strategic direction.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive prospective investor engagement strategy.
- Prepare for business development meetings, including the refinement, review and update of presentation books, two-pagers, DDQs, property updates and other necessary materials.
- Maintain CRM system information on all prospective firms/investors to track communications and investor preferences.
- Schedule and participate in marketing and due diligence meetings with prospective investors.
- Maintain strong communication with prospective investors and respond to due diligence and other requests with appropriate oversight by the CEO.
- Provide timely and well-organized insights into industry developments and trends as well as investor needs and preferences for use in strategic business planning and potential new product development.
- Raise PRG’s profile by attending conferences, events, forums, and other industry gatherings.
- Frequently network, travel and expand investor base.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-10 years’ relevant experience in private funds investor relations/fundraising, capital markets or investment banking (preference for real estate experience)
- Demonstrable track record of raising capital
- Motivated, organized, detail-oriented and professional individual who can multitask and adhere to strict deadlines
- Drive and desire to enhance PRG’s current investor list through various business development activities (seminars, conferences, networking events, etc)
- Excellent written, analytical and communication skills (including the ability to translate financial data into a simple story, draft communications and create marketing materials in a clear, concise but captivating way)
- Executive presence necessary for interfacing with investors on the phone and in person
- Ability to manage multiple capital raising initiatives with competing deadlines
