Job Description

EastBanc is a family-owned real estate development company that pursues top-quality assets and design-driven development primarily in DC and NYC. The company is committed to acquiring and developing assets they wish to own forever and has deployed over $4B in capital over the past 35 years. EastBanc focuses on complex urban real estate transactions, creating value by pairing cutting-edge modern design and architecture with timeless European-style urban planning and sensibility.

EastBanc is interested in hiring an Asset Management Associate who will work with the various property teams to assist in managing all of EastBanc’s DC-based assets, including Retail, Office and oversight of Residential management. The associate will work closely with all members of the EastBanc team to provide data-driven, quantitative analysis to support decision-making. A sample of initial job responsibilities includes:

  • Maintain and improve existing assets with the asset management and leasing team

  • Review and develop Property Budgets and ARGUS models of existing assets with the property management team
  • Evaluate proposed value-added improvements of existing assets to determine the return on investment
  • Evaluate potential leases with the leasing team to determine their financial impact
  • Assist with communications and reporting to financial partners (debt and equity)
  • Work with proprietary tracking and reporting systems, processes, and procedures to keep our partners updated on the status of the asset and any decision-making and approval mechanisms required by the partnership
  • Collaborate with all members of the Property Management, Accounting and Leasing teams

EastBanc is looking for a candidate with at least 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience who desires to pursue a long-term career in real estate and has strong quantitative analysis skills. Most of the initial work output will be primarily done using Excel models (and some in Argus), paired with internal memos that summarize the analysis and track various custom reporting processes and procedures. Prior relevant work experience will enable the candidate to hit the ground running and quickly expand their role and responsibilities.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance, as well as monthly parking, cell phone reimbursement, and tuition reimbursement. The target compensation, including Bonus, for this role is between $160,000 and $195,000, depending on the candidate's seniority and experience.

All employment decisions are made without regard to race, age, creed, sex, religion, national origin, ancestry, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status, or any other basis as is protected by local, state or federal law.
