Position: Acquisitions Associate

Location: NYC (Box office is located at 712 5th Avenue, 9th Floor)

Box Equities is a vertically-integrated, privately-held real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition of undervalued NNN industrial properties across the Southeast and Midwest. The firm targets physically efficient warehouses in middle-mile markets that benefit from superior highway access and stable labor supply. To date, the firm has acquired 28 assets at a steep discount to replacement cost with significant mark-to-market upside. The portfolio currently consists of over 6 million SF in 13 states. 

·         Source new industrial acquisitions for Box institutional and high net worth investment partners

·         Forge strong relationships with industrial brokerage and lending community

·         Prepare financial analysis of potential new acquisitions including the creation of detailed pro-forma financial models using both Excel and Argus

·         Coordinate and conduct pre-acquisition due diligence and market research for new acquisitions

·         Report directly to the Head of Acquisitions and Box principals

 

·         Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related fields

·         1-3 years of experience in real estate acquisitions 

·         Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and present solutions

·         Effective communication and presentation skills to work effectively with and present to Investment Committee and Box investors

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Argus

·         Ability to travel as needed

 

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
