Job Description
- Assist in coordinating and executing the valuation processes for investments within National Development’s portfolio, including providing support to auditors and managing requests.
- Develop a fundamental understanding of internal financial analysis and tracking models and execute periodic updates and enhancements.
- Assist in the preparation and review of Fund and asset-level forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and performance attributions, as well as investor distribution allocations.
- Synthesize portfolio data and key real estate and macroeconomic trends to develop portfolio and macro viewpoints in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Create and maintain materials for periodic reporting, investor updates, presentations, and fundraising in collaboration with asset management and finance/accounting teams.
- Contribute to ongoing and special research related to target market fundamentals and macroeconomic trends.
- Monitor and track acquisitions, dispositions, and investment activity across the portfolio.
- Assist with tracking and completing ad hoc investor requests.
- Complete special projects and other related responsibilities.
- 3-5 years in an analytical/data-driven role, preferably with experience in investment management, consulting, or accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, accounting, or economics, with strong academic credentials.
- Advanced ability to create and manipulate complex financial models in Excel; strong proficiency with other Microsoft Office suite platforms, (Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet established deadlines and performance standards.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, resourceful approach.
- Detail-oriented with strong quantitative analysis, problem solving, presentation, and writing skills.
- Willing to work onsite full-time in our Newton office.
