Location: Englewood, Colorado | Travel: 35–50% | Full-Time
Consolidated Investment Group (CIG) is a privately held entrepreneurial investment company that manages a diverse portfolio, including multifamily housing and industrial distribution/warehouse assets. We are seeking a seasoned Director of Real Estate Asset Management to oversee operations, financial performance, and strategic planning for our expanding real estate portfolio.
The Director of Real Estate Asset Management will lead the operations and strategic direction of our multifamily and industrial real estate holdings. This individual will be responsible for bottom-line performance, managing a team of portfolio managers, overseeing capital improvement projects, and driving value creation across the portfolio.
- Oversee business plans for each asset including budgets, marketing, pricing, and cash flow.
- Lead a team of portfolio managers and ensure operational consistency across the portfolio.
- Manage tenant improvements, capital projects, and large-scale repairs.
- Conduct regular property site visits to evaluate conditions and progress.
- Review and approve monthly operating reports, financial statements, leasing activity, and variance analysis.
- Interface with third-party operating partners and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure risk management policies and insurance programs are in place and up to date.
- Contribute to acquisition and financing efforts, including due diligence and debt placement.
- Evaluate economic trends and market conditions to shape portfolio strategy.
- Oversee legal agreements such as loan documents, management contracts, and vendor agreements.
- 10+ years of experience in asset management, preferably in multifamily and industrial real estate.
- Graduate degree in Finance, Business, or Real Estate strongly preferred.
- Proven success in leading real estate operations, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Expertise in lease negotiation, capital planning, and property-level financial reporting.
- Skilled in vendor management, construction oversight, and cost containment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to travel 35–50% of the time.
- Set team goals and monitor performance.
- Coach and develop staff through mentorship and performance feedback.
- Promote continuous learning and leadership development.
- Drive teamwork, delegate projects, and manage change effectively.
