Job Description
Responsibilities
· REO Accounting
o Assist in the proactive monitoring and management of a portfolio of REO assets, across all property types (office, industrial, hotel, retail, & multi-family)
o Work on initial REO checklist including, but not limited to;
- Initiate Servicer Direction letters coordinate cash management and deposit account closings
- Facilitate property manager accounting setup including beginning balances, first month transactions and cash reconciliation
- Letter of Credit transfers from previous borrower as required
o Annual operating and capital budget reviews
o Review annual CAM reconciliations
o Review funding requests from property managers and/or vendors, setup wires, notify accounting of fundings
o Facilitate REO investor reporting requirements; receipt and delivery to investors, facilitate responses to ad hoc questions
o Ad hoc requests from Asset Managers including Transfer Tax Calculations and Surety Bonds
o Assist with audit requests

Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, related field(s), or equivalent industry experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required
• 2-5+ years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, portfolio management, loan operations, or REO property accounting preferred. Recent graduates may be considered if they meet other key requirements
• Yardi experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to proactively identify and flag concerns
• Demonstrated track record of excellence with a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious mindset
• Great team player with good judgment and effective written and verbal communications skills; interacts well with teammates and external parties at all levels
• Exceptional character, personal integrity, and work ethic
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented, highly accurate; excellent time management skills; able to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively handle multiple competing and time sensitive deadlines and priorities
