Job Description
Spyglass Capital Partners is seeking a motivated Associate to join our lean and high-performing team to assist with acquisitions, asset management, and market research. This role provides wide-ranging exposure to the investment process, including the start-to-finish process of sourcing, researching, underwriting, and closing on new acquisitions, as well as the value-add process and the day-to-day asset management of Spyglass’s existing portfolio. The Associate will report directly to Spyglass’s Head of Acquisitions and will work closely with its President and Head of Asset Management. We are offering competitive compensation including a base salary of $80,000 to $100,000 (commensurate with experience) plus cash bonuses and unique profit participation (up to 2% per deal).
Spyglass Capital Partners is a niche private equity firm that has acquired over 5,800 multifamily units totaling more than $1 billion in asset value across the Southeast, South, and Midwest. We target stable but under-managed properties that could benefit from modest repairs and strategic operational improvements. Spyglass has acquired over $200 million of assets in 2025 and plans to acquire another $200-500+ million over the next 12-18 months.
- Acquisitions: Conduct detailed analysis and financial models of potential value-add multifamily investments. Assist with due diligence and closing activities, collaborating with brokers, property managers, and lenders. Prepare marketing materials for investors and contribute to the equity and debt raising process. Perform due diligence by collecting, reviewing, and summarizing property reports, leases, legal documents, and other due diligence documents. Occasional travel will be required.
- Asset Management: Assist in all aspects of portfolio operations including executing the value-add business plan, monitoring performance, developing property budgets, and drafting quarterly investor updates. Implement solutions for occupancy, tenant satisfaction, rent growth, and operational efficiency to maximize asset value. Develop and manage capital expenditure budgets, including planning for repairs, renovations, and improvements.
- Market Research: Monitor market trends, comparable properties, and competitive dynamics to guide asset strategies and make informed investment decisions.
- 2-4+ years of relevant experience in real estate, finance, or capital markets
- Bachelor’s degree in business or other STEM-related fields with a strong academic record
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and thorough, with the ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excel underwriting test will be required
