Job Description
- Assist with project estimating, budgeting, and preconstruction services.
- Conduct construction market research, cost analysis, and evaluate pricing trends.
- Assist with site feasibility studies to support acquisition and development efforts.
- Research and interpret zoning codes and regulations.
- Hire and manage third-party design and construction professionals, including architects, civil engineers, and general contractors.
- Review and negotiate design and construction contracts with legal counsel.
- Coordinate and work through the entitlement process with local jurisdictions.
- Serve as the owner’s representative throughout the development process, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and schedule objectives.
- Lead and manage OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings.
- Support the delivery of ground-up development and major redevelopment projects for medical outpatient buildings.
- Participate in large-scale renovation projects across Healthcare Realty’s national portfolio of 38 million square feet.
- Travel to project sites as needed (short duration trips only).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in construction project management, development, or related fields.
- Proficiency in reading construction drawings, understanding building and zoning codes, and managing project budgets.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive and collaborative mindset, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- This position works in our corporate headquarters in Nashville.
