Job Description
Principal Responsibilities:
- Oversee all finance and acquisition functions for the organization
- Assist in securing financing, both equity and debt, for land and multi-family/BFR development projects
- Build and maintain complex cash flow models and quarterly/annual valuation models
- Review proposed distributions and confirm correct application in accordance with equity capital/waterfalls
- Receive verbal and written information about transaction concepts and produce models accordingly
- Compile quantitative analysis of budgeted, actual, and projected cash flows
- Complete various financial analyses and data requests in a timely manner when requested
- Coordinate and review debt and equity funding request packages in a timely and thorough manner
- Monitor and review progress of business plans and capital budgets
- Coordinate receipt and review of monthly financial statements
- Coordinate receipt and review of annual operating and capital budgets
- Review, comment and monitoring of loan documents and proposed operating agreements
- Coordination and management of loan closings and equity closings for land acquisitions and construction loans
- Implement underwriting process on due diligence and feasibility analysis for multifamily acquisitions and developments.
- Prepare detailed offering memoranda/packages for equity partners and lenders.
- Institutional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective time-management
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline preferred; MBA is a plus
- 5+ years of real estate finance / underwriting / asset management / acquisitions experience
- Results-oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated team player
- Strong technical skills with an advanced knowledge of Argus, Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple dynamic projects at various stages of completion
