Job Description

This is a cross-disciplinary role based in San Mateo. The real estate analyst will work directly with both Acacia’s acquisitions officers and asset managers on multifamily investments.  This individual’s primary acquisitions responsibilities will include financial underwriting, including market research and rent surveys, organizing and coordinating due diligence activities, preparing deal memorandums, tracking deal flow, interacting with lenders and coordinating closings.  The real estate analyst’s primary asset management responsibilities will include reporting and interpreting operational data, preparing all financial analysis material for Acacia’s quarterly portfolio reviews, performing other ad hoc analyses on existing portfolio assets and spearheading the preparation of property budgets.

Qualifications

Ideal analyst candidates will have a degree from an accredited 4-year university and one to three years of experience in the real estate industry with a particular focus on acquisitions, asset management and/or financing.  This position requires a highly qualified and motivated person to be responsible for the financial modeling and reporting of Acacia’s investments. This position requires strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office, and a fundamental understanding of real estate operating metrics and financial statements. The candidate must be detail oriented, able to work independently and effectively prioritize and perform tasks. The candidate must also possess the ability to work well within a team environment.
