OPPORTUNITY
The Asset Manager will be based in Dallas and will work closely with senior executives to oversee and maximize performance of owned assets through their full life cycle including acquisitions, development, lease-up, and stabilized operations. In addition to managing stabilized assets, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the lease-up and asset management of properties within the company’s active development pipeline. The individual will play an integral role in preparing regular reports for the company’s shareholder and other institutional investor clients. The job entails creating and maintaining financial models and reporting tools, and interfacing with the Company’s internal development, acquisitions, and property management teams in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

RESPONSIBILITY
  • Analyze and monitor the financial performance of properties and portfolios including financial modeling, benchmarking to budget, and collaborating with senior executives in executing business plans
  • Provide support for acquisition, development, financing, and disposition processes
  •  Financial modeling to support both acquisition and asset management decisions
  •  Create and maintain internal asset and portfolio management tools including dashboard metrics and enterprise reporting systems
  •  Oversight of internal property managers
  •  Market analysis and monitoring of industry trends to help guide investment strategy
  •  Assist in investor reporting
  •  Travel will be required on a recurring basis for portfolio assets

REQUIREMENTS
  •  Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in related discipline
  • 10+ years of commercial real estate experience with 5+ years of direct asset management experience in the multifamily sector
  •  Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, writing and analytical skills, and ability to present complex analyses clearly and concisely
  •  Advanced Excel financial modeling including the ability to create original financial models including sensitivities for asset and portfolio level investments
  •  Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to train and supervise others
  •  Ability to thrive and maintain acute attention to detail in a fast‐paced, deadline‐driven work environment
  •  Ability to learn and quickly establish working proficiency with complex concepts
