About the Opportunity (Confidential Search)
A privately held real estate investment and property management firm in Austin is preparing to launch an expanded brokerage services division to complement its existing operations. We are conducting a confidential search for an entrepreneurial, growth-minded Designated Broker / Principal Broker to lead this initiative and build a scalable, high-performing brokerage team.
This leadership role reports directly to ownership and will shape the long-term brokerage and service platform for the firm. The position is intentionally confidential to ensure discretion during the planning and development phase.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker with the ambition, drive, and leadership capacity to build a brokerage division with significant growth potential. This role is ideal for someone who is:
  • Early- to mid-career and ready for a major leadership opportunity
  • Motivated to build something meaningful—not simply maintain an existing book
  • Experienced in tenant representation, leasing, acquisitions, or PM-related transactions
  • Energized by the challenge of launching and scaling a brokerage operation
  • Looking to partner with ownership to open doors and drive market expansion
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Designated Broker, ensuring compliance and supervision of all brokerage activities
  • Lead the development and launch of a new brokerage platform, including service line structure
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor agents and producers to build a high-performing team
  • Establish compliance frameworks and operating procedures in accordance with TREC requirements
  • Work directly with ownership to identify brokerage opportunities supporting the firm’s PM and investment growth strategy
  • Maintain ethical, responsible, and client-centered brokerage practices
  • Contribute significantly to strategic planning, branding, and market positioning
Qualifications
  • Active Texas Real Estate Broker License (required)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in brokerage, leasing, tenant representation, or a related field
  • Experience supervising agents or leading brokerage transactions strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of TREC Broker Responsibility requirements
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development instincts
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative leadership style
Compensation & Incentives
  • Competitive retainer and draw structure
  • Potential equity participation or profit-sharing opportunities
  • Direct access to ownership, with significant influence over division strategy and growth
Detailed compensation will be provided during confidential discussions.

Only applicants who meet the minimum broker licensing requirements will be contacted.
All inquiries and discussions will be handled with strict confidentiality.
