Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Asset Management Senior Analyst or Associate to join our team in Summit, NJ. This individual will play a key role in overseeing portfolio performance, optimizing asset-level strategy, and supporting value creation initiatives across a diverse real estate portfolio.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and cash flow analyses for assets across multiple property sectors
• Monitor operating performance against budget, underwriting, and market benchmarks
• Conduct quarterly and annual portfolio reviews, including review of financial statements, budgets, rent rolls, debt, updating project and investor returns, performance metrics, and return analyses
• Assist in development and execution of business plans for each asset, including leasing strategy, capital improvements, and expense optimization
• Partner with property management, leasing teams, and development teams to track operational performance and identify value-add opportunities
• Prepare materials for communicating with lenders and joint venture partners
• Support refinancing, recapitalization, and disposition efforts through financial analysis, deal preparation, and coordination with lenders or transaction partners
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of current market conditions, tenant demand, and competitor activity
• Ensure Saxum’s assets are well positioned for a successful lease-up process, including routine visits to the assets (requiring travel), furthering capital improvement plans, and aligning with Saxum’s local team to ensure a smooth process for prospective tenants
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in real estate asset management, leasing, investments, or development
• Strong financial and analytical ability, with previous experience building cash flow models in excel and Argus
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a deep understanding of real estate financial statements and metrics (NOI, IRR, equity multiples, etc.).
• Basic understanding of market trends, lease structures, and financial impacts of leasing decisions across multiple asset classes
• Ability to multitask and synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, strategic thinker with the ability to execute asset management initiatives effectively
