POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Real Estate Asset Manager with approximately 5-7 years of experience to take direct responsibility for the execution, performance, and value creation of a diverse real estate portfolio across multiple asset classes. This role sits at the intersection of asset management, operations, capital execution, and analytics / reporting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong financial foundation, deep asset-management experience, and a “whatever it takes” mentality—someone who treats assets like an owner, is comfortable getting into the weeds, and can drive results through ambiguity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Asset Management & Value Creation
- Own day-to-day asset management responsibilities across a multi-asset-class portfolio.
- Develop, execute, and continuously refine asset-level business plans.
- Drive operational improvements, expense controls, and revenue enhancement strategies.
Sponsor, Property Manager & Vendor Oversight
- Serve as the primary point of contact for property managers and operating partners.
- Hold third parties accountable to budgets, timelines, and performance benchmarks.
- Lead regular asset-level calls and review reporting packages.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Create, maintain and enhance asset-level financial models and forecasts.
- Analyze financial statements, variances, KPIs, and covenant compliance.
- Prepare and own internal and external reporting on asset and portfolio performance.
Capital Projects & Transactions
- Oversee capital improvement programs and value-add initiatives.
- Support acquisitions, refinancings, and dispositions as needed.
Ownership Mindset & Special Projects
- Step in where needed to solve problems and drive outcomes.
- Take initiative on ad-hoc analyses and portfolio initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field.
- Approximately 5-7 years of relevant real estate experience at a best-in-class investor/operator/intermediary.
- Experience across multiple real estate asset classes preferred but not required.
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills (modeling test and technical interview).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional work ethic and ownership mentality.
