Momentum Real Estate Partners (“MREP”) is a Miami-based private equity firm focused on multifamily real estate investments across high-growth U.S. markets. With a strong track record and an experienced leadership team, MREP is actively scaling its fundraising efforts and expanding its investor base across institutional and private-wealth channels.
Work Location: Miami, FL. Remote or hybrid work may be considered on a limited basis. Please note that, due to state and local tax, payroll, and regulatory compliance considerations, the Company is *not* able to support remote work arrangements for employees residing in New York State or California.
The Opportunity
The Director of Capital Raising will play a key execution role within MREP’s capital formation efforts. This position is responsible for sourcing, managing, and closing capital commitments from institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals, while maintaining strong, long-term investor relationships. The Director will work closely with the Partners and senior leadership to support fundraising initiatives for MREP’s multifamily investment vehicles.
This role is ideal for a capital raising professional who thrives in a hands-on environment, values relationship-driven fundraising, and is comfortable operating with a high degree of accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, qualify, and engage prospective Limited Partners (LPs) across institutional and private-wealth channels.
- Manage the full capital raising process, including outreach, investor meetings, due diligence coordination, negotiation support, and closing of capital commitments.
- Support preparation and refinement of investor-facing materials, including pitch decks, fund summaries, performance updates, and ongoing communications.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing investors to drive repeat and follow-on commitments.
- Represent MREP at industry conferences, investor meetings, and roadshows.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (Acquisitions, Asset Management, Finance) to ensure alignment on fund strategy, pipeline updates, and performance reporting.
- Monitor investor feedback, market trends, and competitive dynamics to inform fundraising efforts.
- Ensure accurate tracking of investor interactions, pipeline activity, and fundraising progress.
Qualifications
- 7–12+ years of capital raising experience within private equity real estate, with a strong preference for multifamily funds.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or executing capital raises for commingled funds or similar investment vehicles.
- Existing relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and/or UHNW/HNW individuals.
- Solid understanding of fund structures, due diligence processes, and investor onboarding.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage sophisticated investors.
- Detail-oriented and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple investor relationships simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.
Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to senior leadership / Partners.
- Operates as a senior individual contributor with high visibility and accountability.
