Job Description
Temerity Strategic Partners (“TSP”) is seeking an Investment Analyst or Senior Analyst to join its Investments Group in Chicago. This role offers hands-on exposure across the full real estate private equity investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, underwriting, execution, and ongoing asset and portfolio management. The Analyst will work directly with senior investment professionals on lean deal teams, gaining meaningful responsibility and visibility while contributing to the growth of an entrepreneurial, institutionally oriented real estate platform.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Underwriting & Analysis
- Screen, evaluate, and underwrite new equity investment opportunities across development, value-add, and core-plus strategies
- Build and maintain Excel-based financial models, including asset-level cash flows, sensitivity analyses, and distribution waterfalls
- Conduct market, asset, and operating partner diligence
- Prepare investment committee memoranda and presentation materials
Due Diligence and Transaction Execution
- Support all phases of transaction execution, from initial underwriting through closing
- Assist with deal structuring, financing analysis, and coordination with legal, lending, and operating partners
Asset Management and Portfolio Reporting
- Assist with ongoing asset and portfolio management initiatives
- Support quarterly valuation processes and investor reporting
- Analyze operating performance and help drive value creation initiatives post-close
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, real estate private equity, real estate investment, development, brokerage, or a related role
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including asset-level real estate models and fund waterfalls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in small, fast-paced teams
- Strong academic performance from a top-tier undergraduate institution
- Senior Analyst title consideration for candidates with additional experience and demonstrated transaction exposure
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $135,000, commensurate with experience, plus a performance-based incentive plan. TSP offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, transit and parking benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
