POSITION SUMMARY 
MDH Partners is seeking an Analyst to join the Acquisitions team in Los Angeles. This is an exciting role for candidates interested in building a foundation in industrial real estate from the perspective of an owner and developer. The Analyst will support the acquisition of institutional-quality industrial assets across the U.S. and work closely with senior team members throughout the investment process. This position provides exposure to underwriting, due diligence, and transaction execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and supports the Vice President of Acquisitions in Los Angeles, as well as team members in the Dallas and Atlanta (HQ) offices. 

We expect to interview primarily candidates with 0–2 years of professional experience. Recent graduates with an exceptional academic record and demonstrated financial modeling proficiency, as well as early-career analysts seeking exposure on the ownership side of commercial real estate, are strongly encouraged to apply.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Primary responsibilities of the position will include (but not be limited to): 
  • Building and maintaining financial models of properties and portfolios in Argus Enterprise and Excel, including sensitivity analyses of potential investments, scenario testing, providing levered IRRs, and equity multiples. Reviewing/underwriting new investment opportunities and managing deal pipeline 
  • Conducting market research and maintaining market data to assist in investment decisions 
  • Preparing Investment Committee memos for external and internal audiences 
  • Supporting due diligence efforts on new property acquisitions, including review of leases, surveys, financial operating histories, estoppels, etc. 
  • Interfacing with internal and external parties, such as leasing/sales brokers, consultants, lenders, legal counsel and other market contacts as needed 
  • Conducting ad-hoc analysis to support day-to-day decision making 
 
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • 0-2 years’ experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or a related field 
  • Basic knowledge of commercial real estate and finance concepts 
  • Familiarity with financial accounting concepts 
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel modeling skills; basic familiarity with Argus DCF / Enterprise software a plus 
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects or tasks at once 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
