Compensation: ~$115,000-$135,000 base (commensurate with experience) + bonus opportunity

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Asset Manager to oversee the financial and operational performance of a growing portfolio of market-rate multifamily properties. This role is ideal for a candidate who has progressed beyond an analyst role and is ready to take ownership of assets, influence strategic decisions, and collaborate closely with property management, ownership, and key stakeholders.
You will be responsible for executing on business plans, monitoring portfolio performance, identifying opportunities and risks, and driving value through data-informed decisions. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where early ownership of assets and integration into the business are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
· Take true ownership of day-to-day asset oversight for a portfolio of multifamily properties
· Analyze property-level performance relative to budget, forecast, and business plans
· Review monthly financial statements, variance reports, and capital expenditures
· Build strong, transparent relationships with third-party property management; ensure open information sharing, context, and alignment on performance goals
· Lead the creation of annual budgets, rolling reforecasts, and contribute to portfolio-level planning
· Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and revenue management strategies
· Oversee capital improvement projects and renovation initiatives, as applicable
· Deliver clear, actionable reports for internal stakeholders and ownership groups
· Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend strategic improvements
· Support long-term portfolio planning, including hold/sell analyses and exit strategy recommendations
· Approximately 25% travel, including quarterly property visits expected to ensure asset-level performance and build strong on-site relationships.

Qualifications
· 3–5 years of direct experience in multifamily asset management (market-rate assets only)
· Strong understanding of asset-level P&L, NOI drivers, valuation methods, and key performance metrics
· Proven ability to collaborate with third-party property management teams
· Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Yardi, RealPage, or similar platforms strongly preferred
· Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
· Clear and confident communicator with experience presenting to ownership and leadership teams
· Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with accountability
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field preferred
