The Senior Associate, Acquisitions & Capital Markets handles many facets of the acquisitions process including underwriting, modeling, and analysis for all real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings and recapitalizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teammates in Capital Markets and Acquisitions team in underwriting and modeling cash flow projections for new acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, and refinancings 
  • Create and manage Argus models for numerous properties at one time
  • Create, manage and update complete underwriting models in Excel and Argus
  • Perform detailed due diligence for new acquisitions and refinances
  • Participate in new deal pipeline meetings
  • Prepare materials to present to investment committee

Technical Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking or related financial services or real estate industries 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Argus
  • Strong understanding of real estate valuation methodologies including internal rates of return (IRR) and discounted cash flow analysis 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Strong analytical skills and reasoning abilities
