Job Description
- Manage multifamily assets within an institutional caliber organization.
- Develop expertise in the geographies of assigned assets and represent DRA in the marketplace. Understand current market trends related to the demographics, job growth, economic drivers and product supply that affect a portfolio and act on them.
- Ability to evaluate and oversee capital improvements and value add strategies, with specific knowledge in the execution of interior unit renovation plans.
- Actively participate in the acquisition of new assets – responsible for overseeing the due diligence process inclusive of market analysis, engineering, environmental, and financial reviews.
- Collaborate with acquisition and disposition teams throughout the life of an asset to achieve investment objectives.
- Work within a joint venture structure with the ability to manage and develop key relationships with equity partners as well as with all levels of property management professionals to effectively implement the business plan.
- Work on projects as needed outside the course of day-to-day responsibilities.
- Proactively recognize, investigate, and communicate property level issues to senior management.
- Review and analyze monthly property level reports to ensure adherence to annual budget.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a “hands on” asset management specialist in the institutional multifamily sector.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Self-starter with proven communication skills and an ability to work within a team environment.
- Experience in working with Revenue Optimization Systems (Yieldstar/AIRM, etc).
- Strategic thinking with an ability to execute tactically.
- Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines.
- Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Team player who demonstrates the ability to collaborate with employees throughout all levels of the organization.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office products.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
TRAVEL:
Position located in NYC with 25% travel required.
