Location: Chicago (Hybrid – Monday through Thursday in office)

Landrock is an entrepreneurial private equity real estate investment firm focused on repositioning middle market properties throughout the United States. The firm was founded in 2007 and has invested in real estate with an aggregate value of approximately $3.9 billion across 17 funds, co-investment vehicles and separate accounts.  Landrock partners with institutional investors, family offices, and other sophisticated capital partners to execute its investment strategy.

We are seeking an Investor Relations Associate to support investor communications, reporting, and marketing initiatives.   Our team operates in a highly collaborative environment, and the Associate will earn meaningful responsibility and work directly with senior team members.  

Position Overview

The Investor Relations Associate will play an important role in supporting the firm’s investor relations and fundraising efforts. This position will work closely with senior leadership and report to the Chief Operating Officer, with exposure to investor communications, reporting processes, and fundraising initiatives.

The role is well suited for a candidate with 1–3 years of experience who is interested in developing a career in investor relations within a private fund management platform.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Engagement & Events
  • Assist with coordinating investor meetings and outreach efforts.
  • Support preparation of materials for investor meetings and presentations.
  • Coordinate and participate in roadshow meetings with prospective investors.
  • Assist with logistics and preparation for the firm’s annual investor meeting and other investor events.
 
Marketing & Investor Materials
  • Assist with development and maintenance of investor presentations and marketing materials.
  • Help shape investor-facing messaging and presentation materials.
  • Manage updates to the firm’s website and maintain digital marketing assets.
  • Maintain and organize the firm’s marketing and image asset libraries.
  • Support content creation across marketing and investor communication channels.
 
Fundraising Support
  • Support the firm’s fundraising efforts through coordination of investor diligence materials.
  • Maintain fundraising trackers and assist with monitoring progress of fundraising initiatives.
  • Assist with processing investor subscriptions and coordinating related documentation.
  • Support preparation of materials used during fundraising discussions and investor outreach.
 
Investor Reporting & Communications
  • Support preparation and distribution of quarterly investor reporting materials.
  • Assist with drafting investor communications and updates.
  • Coordinate investor reporting deliverables and ensure timely distribution.
  • Review and organize investor reporting materials and supporting documentation.
 
CRM & Investor Data Management
  • Maintain and update the firm’s investor CRM system.
  • Ensure investor contact records, account details, and investor data remain accurate and current.
  • Coordinate distribution of investor communications and reporting materials.
  • Support investor exposure tracking and related reporting.
 
Investor Research & Meeting Preparation
  • Conduct research on prospective and existing investors and competitive market research.
  • Prepare investor briefing materials and dossiers in advance of investor meetings.
  • Maintain internal materials summarizing investor profiles, preferences, and historical interactions.
  • Assist with preparation of materials used in investor meetings and outreach.
 
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in investor relations, marketing, asset management, or a related field within private equity, real estate, or financial services.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of projects in a lean, entrepreneurial organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • Client-serving mentality and solution-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Interest in private equity real estate, institutional capital raising, and capital markets.
