Job Description

Hybrid Role

Consolidated Investment Group (CIG) is a high‑performing, entrepreneurial investment firm with a proven record across private equity, capital markets, real estate, and philanthropy. We invest with conviction, execute with discipline, and operate with a long‑term ownership mindset.

CIG is creating a new, senior‑level Director of Real Estate Acquisitions role to lead and scale our expanding real estate investment platform. This is a foundational hire—designed for an experienced dealmaker who wants not only responsibility, but real ownership over strategy, sourcing, execution, and outcomes.

This position is hybrid, with an expectation of minimum two days per week in the office, balancing in‑person collaboration with travel to target markets.

This is not a support role. You will build and own the acquisitions’ function, with full accountability for originating and executing transactions across multifamily, industrial, distressed assets, and land, on a national basis.

The Opportunity

This newly created role offers a rare chance to design and shape an acquisition platform from the ground up within an established, well‑capitalized firm. You will partner closely with senior leadership and the investment committee, leveraging flexible capital, decisive execution, and institutional credibility to win deals in competitive and complex markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Originate high‑quality investment opportunities through broker relationships, lender connections, direct owner outreach, proprietary sourcing, and market intelligence
  • Identify off‑market and complex transactions where experience, creativity, and judgment create a competitive advantage
  • Lead the full acquisition lifecycle, including sourcing, underwriting, valuation, structuring, negotiations, due diligence, financing coordination, and closing
  • Drive execution certainty and deal velocity, managing risk from initial review through close
  • Develop market perspectives and investment theses that guide portfolio strategy and capital deployment
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior leadership and the investment committee
  • Establish CIG as a preferred buyer, building trust through responsiveness, credibility, and certainty of closing.
  • Cultivate long‑term relationships with brokers, lenders, owners, receivers, and legal & financial partners
  • Collaborate closely with asset management, finance, construction, development, and legal teams to ensure seamless post‑close transitions
What You Bring

  • 7–10 years of acquisitions experience on the principal or institutional side, with a strong history of closed transactions
  • Experience across multifamily (required), industrial, distressed assets, and land
  • Advanced financial modeling and underwriting expertise, including IRR, equity multiple, cash‑on‑cash, and sensitivity analysis
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and debt structures, including financing strategies and exchanges
  • Demonstrated ability to independently source deals
  • Proven negotiation leadership with sophisticated counterparties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership or investment committees
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
Why CIG

This role is ideal for a senior acquisitions professional who wants to build something enduring, with the autonomy to shape strategy and the backing of an institutional platform. You’ll operate with entrepreneurial freedom, leadership visibility, and meaningful influence over outcomes—while enjoying a collaborative work environment.

Benefits

CIG offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, 401(k) with company match, supplemental insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick time, personal days and a Bonus potential (STI).
