Job Description

Job Summary:

Opportunity to join a dynamic multifamily investment platform and work alongside senior Investment team members across the full deal lifecycle, including sourcing, underwriting, market research, due diligence, IC presentations, financing, and closing.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

•         Work closely with the senior team, brokers, and partners to source and underwrite acquisition opportunities across BMC's target Sunbelt markets.

•         Prepare feasibility studies, market analyses, and ad-hoc analysis under the direction of senior team members; coordinate with service providers and partners to gather and process inputs.

•         Draft investment memoranda and recommendations for BMC's Investment Committee and, when applicable, prospective investors.

•         Assist senior team members in structuring and negotiating legal documentation with joint venture partners, lenders, sellers, and third-party vendors.

•         Support team in analyzing and executing acquisition financings. 

•         Prepare marketing and due diligence materials to support dispositions; coordinate with brokers, partners, and counterparties throughout sale processes.

•         Maintain investment pipeline reports 


Education and Experience:

3-6 years of real estate investment, acquisitions and/or development experience; multifamily preferred. B.A./B.S. with strong academic record in Business, Finance, Economics or other financial discipline.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:


•         Robust quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

•         Strong written and oral communication skills

•         Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Must have extensive experience financial modeling in multifamily, performing IRR calculations, operating proformas, sources & uses, and discounted cash flow analysis.

•         Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word

•         Self-motivated, curious and innovative, with strong time management skills

•         Proven ability to multi-task and work proficiently as part of a team

•         Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization


Total compensation includes a base salary plus performance-based bonus
