We serve 20,000+ professionals and are scaling toward a $200M Flexible fund.
Role Details Full-Time | Remote | West Coast or Central preferred | Travel: 4–8x/year Compensation: Competitive base + performance bonus
Position Overview We're seeking an entrepreneurial leader to own deal flow, capital formation, investor pipeline, and investor relations as we scale toward $200M — someone with sharp investment judgment, relationship excellence, and the ability to build team and systems at scale.
Key Objectives
- Build a repeatable acquisitions and capital formation engine
- Screen deals against our buy box and risk-reward mandate
- Move investors from lead to close through follow-up and relationship management
- Elevate investor reporting and communication quality
- Optimize the team, SOPs, and systems supporting acquisitions and investor servicing
Primary Responsibilities
Acquisitions
- Screen and evaluate deals: market quality, downside protection, cash flow, operator strength
- Conduct preliminary underwriting and coordinate due diligence
- Maintain a pipeline of quality operators, brokers, and partners
Capital Formation
- Lead capital formation across GW Capital's community and referral channels
- Manage investor follow-up, qualification, and education through the pipeline
- Build systems for pipeline visibility, conversion tracking, and raise execution
- Support webinars, calls, and events that drive capital and deepen trust
Investor Relations
- Oversee investor communications and reporting across active raises and investments
- Coordinate on quarterly reporting, capital calls, and distributions
- Serve as senior escalation point for investor questions
- Improve onboarding, CRM workflows, and portal processes
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor team members across IR and capital formation
- Create SOPs, dashboards, and accountability systems
- Coordinate with marketing, finance, legal, and operations
Ideal Candidate Polished, analytical, and execution-oriented. Relationship-driven but commercially sharp — able to evaluate deals, guide investors, and lead people without losing attention to detail.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field
- 20+ years across acquisitions, capital formation, IR, or real estate private equity
- Strong grasp of CRE, fund structures, and investor communications
- Experience with pipelines, CRM systems, and team management
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and sound judgment
- Comfortable in a remote, high-accountability environment
Preferred
- 506(c) or private real estate fund experience
- Physician or high-net-worth investor community experience
- MBA, CFA, or advanced finance credentials a plus
