Real Estate Associate

Key Responsibilities

The Real Estate Associate will be largely focused on the following:

1. Support day-to-day asset management of assigned investments and maintain an understanding of property operations and market conditions
2. Underwrite potential investments
3. Support transaction structuring and execution
4. Assist in developing annual business plans including multi-year forecasts, operating budgets, capital plans, hold/sell analyses, and value-creation strategies for portfolio assets
5. Prepare asset valuations and related financial analyses for portfolio assets
6. Participate in property inspections, tenant meetings and market tours for portfolio assets and potential investments
7. Review and monitor property performance against budget, underwriting and investment objectives
8. Prepare information for investor and fiduciary reporting including asset reviews and ad hoc presentations
9. Contribute to improvements of analytical tools and processes including AI-enabled tools to increase efficiency

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, engineering or a related field
2. At least two years of relevant real estate investment, asset management, or financial analysis experience
3. Demonstrated understanding of real estate valuation and operations with the ability to analyze complex information, identify key issues, and develop well-supported conclusions
4. Proficient using ARGUS and Excel and experience using AI tools; experience with Yardi is desirable.
5. Strong written/verbal communication skills
6. Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to handle concurrent projects

Pay & Benefits

1. Competitive compensation, salary plus bonus. Base Salary Range: $125,000 to $175,000, experience dependent
