Job Description

Newco is uniquely positioned to define the next chapter of real assets investing — real estate and infrastructure. We are building a firm that supports entrepreneurs, companies, and investors through both capital and operational partnership.

The firm partners with managers and operators to provide capital, institutional infrastructure, and long-duration support across the full lifecycle of a business — from formation through generational transition.

Newco invests across a flexible set of strategies:

• Seeding new funds and management companies, including anchor commitments and the institutional infrastructure required to reach first close

• Stake investments and structured capital, including working capital loans, NAV loans, common and preferred equity, and co-investment commitments

• Partner and next-generation buyouts, financing generational transitions and the buyout of founding or retiring principals

• GP-led and LP-led secondaries, including continuation vehicles, single-asset recaps, and structured liquidity solutions

• Platform transactions, spanning OpCo, PropCo, Fund, and GP structures — often in combination — to align operator economics with long-duration capital

Newco’s success depends on its people. We build a small, high-caliber team in an entrepreneurial, flat environment where every professional is expected to take ownership, contribute originality of thought, and operate with humility, transparency, and conviction.

Description of Position

The Investor will work alongside the founder and LPs in New York. The individual will be responsible for managing and transacting on investments across both private and public markets.

The role is a high-ownership seat on a small team. The Investor will work directly with the founder and Newco’s LPs on live opportunities from first look through closing, and will maintain ongoing responsibility for portfolio investments post-close — including private-market platform, GP-stake, structured capital, and secondaries positions, as well as public-market real assets and adjacent exposures.

The ideal candidate has completed multiple full investment cycles at an institutional real estate, infrastructure, private equity, credit, or public markets platform, is fluent across the capital structure and across private and public formats, and brings independent judgment, sharp analytical instincts, and a builder’s mindset.

Principal Responsibilities

• Manage and transact on investments across both private and public markets, spanning the firm’s mandate — fund seeds, GP and management-company stakes, structured capital (working capital, NAV, preferred and common equity, co-invest), partner buyouts, GP- and LP-led secondaries, OpCo / PropCo / Fund / GP platform transactions, and public-market real assets and adjacent exposures

• Work alongside the founder and LPs on origination, structuring, and execution — from first look through closing — in coordination with legal, tax, and accounting counterparties

• Build and maintain complex investment models — including waterfalls, GP economics, fund cash flows, capital structures, operating pro formas, and public-market valuation frameworks — and translate analysis into clear investment recommendations

• Prepare and present Investment Committee and LP materials, including thesis development, downside analysis, and structuring rationale

• Support origination by developing and maintaining relationships with managers, operators, sponsors, intermediaries, and capital partners across the real assets ecosystem

• Provide active oversight of portfolio positions post-close, including monitoring performance, participating in governance, engaging with management teams, and identifying value-creation and follow-on opportunities

• Contribute to firm building — including strategy, process, investor materials, and hiring — as Newco scales

• Mentor and develop junior team members as the platform grows

Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant investment experience at an institutional real estate, infrastructure, private equity, credit, public markets, or investment banking platform

• Track record of leading transactions or positions independently across the investment lifecycle — origination or sourcing support, underwriting, structuring, negotiation, and closing or portfolio management

• Fluency across the capital structure and across private and public formats: common and preferred equity, structured equity, mezzanine, NAV and working-capital lending, GP stakes, secondaries, and public real assets

• Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including fund-level waterfalls, GP economics, complex operating pro formas, and public-market valuation frameworks

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MSRE, CFA, or equivalent credential viewed favorably but not required

• Sound judgment, intellectual honesty, and the ability to form and defend independent views

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated interest in helping build a firm, not simply executing within one

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with senior principals, operators, LPs, and capital partners with poise and discretion

• Strong collaborative instincts, humility, and a bias to action

Compensation

Compensation will be highly competitive and commensurate with experience, including base salary, discretionary bonus, and long-term incentive participation in the firm’s investment activities. Newco offers comprehensive health benefits and paid time off.
