Hospitality Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Support asset management activities, including business plan execution, performance tracking, property valuations, capital expenditure planning, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Lead financial analysis and underwriting for hospitality development projects, acquisitions, and operational investments—including hotels, and mixed-use properties.
• Develop and maintain detailed cash flow models for both existing assets and new hospitality ventures, incorporating occupancy rates, RevPAR, ADR, and seasonal performance trends.
• Prepare investment committee materials for new opportunities, including equity partnerships, debt financing, and joint ventures within the hospitality sector.
• Participate in deal screening, evaluating potential hospitality investments based on location, brand fit, market demand, and operational upside.
• Monitor and report on market trends affecting hospitality assets—such as tourism flows, brand performance, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic indicators.
• Assist with major transactions, including hotel construction financing, refinancing, recapitalization, and asset sales—managing due diligence documentation, closing reviews, and centralised data access.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in real estate, economics, or finance preferred.
• Ideally 1-3 years of commercial real estate or finance experience with an investment firm, REIT, brokerage, bank, real estate advisor, or insurance company.
• Excellent financial modelling skills, including understanding structures of cash flow models.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to report financial analyses in concise written and verbal formats.
• Sound understanding of economic and investment theory and practices.
• Superior writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Argus software helpful.
• Ability to gather, organize, coordinate, and interpret data from disparate sources.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with a commitment to providing a high-quality work product.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and to proactively seek new responsibilities.
