Position Full-Time, Salaried, Performance-Based Bonus

As Conventus’  on-site  Senior Commercial Credit Analyst, you will be the gatekeeper to our company’s success in executing upon our mission to our clients and investors. We are searching for an ethical and highly detail-oriented, organized experienced credit underwriter professional with the desire to go the “extra mile” and grow with our company. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key member of our team that is critical to ensuring the integrity and thoroughness of our loan origination process during a pivotal stage of our company’s development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft and implement internal underwriting guidelines, ensure investor guidelines are up-to-date, and certify all guidelines are accurately input into loan origination systems
• Complete thorough analysis of mortgage loan files and assess risk based upon compliance with underwriting guidelines and sufficiency of data and documentation
• Analyze properties and strategically determine as is and after renovation/construction value
• Review third party inspections for accuracy, submit disputes as needed
• Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance and raise potential risks and concerns, including deficiencies in funding
• Liaise in time-sensitive manner with sales, processing, servicing, and capital markets teams regarding suitability and risk of processed loans
• Create and issue independent compliant loan approval decisions
• Maintain working knowledge of investor guidelines and policies
• Mentor processing team on underwriting deficiencies
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations

Education and Experience

• 4+ years of mortgage or lending underwriter experience in commercial real estate and/or ground up construction lending
• Prior loan processing and underwriting experience preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s or technical degree

Salary: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
