Debt Originations Analyst/Associate, Investment Professional
Summary/Objective Work in a small deal team alongside other experienced loan originations staff that specialize in structuring complex transactions across all real estate classes throughout North America and Europe. Responsibilities will include the origination, underwriting, structuring, negotiating and closing of primarily structured credit transactions. Throughout due diligence and post-closing, the professional will also be responsible for the syndication of whole loan positions and keeping a pulse on the capital markets in order to ensure we are pricing, sizing and structuring deals effectively. Essential Functions - Reviewing investment opportunities; sourcing/underwriting potential loan originations - Preparing financial models - Developing deal structures to mitigate risk - Market and site tours as part of underwriting and asset management process - Presenting initial deal summaries during weekly investment group meetings - Prepare and maintain weekly pipeline materials - Creating internal investment committee memos - Working with borrowers, brokers and attorneys to help close transactions - Monitor draw requests on construction / development loans - Monitor asset performance across a portfolio of seasoned loans Qualifications - Business related undergraduate degree preferred - 2-5 years of relevant experience - Must have a high level of proficiency with financial modeling/spreadsheets - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Argus Software - A positive and proactive work ethic - Extremely detail-oriented and resourceful - Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work well under time/other constraints - Pride of ownership in end work product - Superior verbal and written communication skills - Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills - Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independentlyThis job is no longer active.
