POSITION SUMMARY:
Global Real Estate (GRE) is BCG's in-house Corporate Real Estate function which supports the organization and our offices with all operational and strategic real estate aspects around BCG's occupied office portfolio. Our truly global team of 14 employees is highly collaborative, strategic, and solutions-oriented. Whilst we are located in various regions (Munich, Madrid, London, India, Singapore, and Northeast US), we still work very closely with each other. We learn from and challenge each other daily. We act as Real Estate Consultants to our internal clients to assist in establishing proactive strategies with our offices worldwide.
The Global Real Estate Senior Analyst will be an integral part of the Portfolio Analysis team within GRE. The Portfolio Analysis team works collaboratively to provide consistent and top quality analysis to inform the strategic direction of real estate actions, facilitate real estate portfolio reporting, and support evolution of the firm's workplace strategy. BCG has a portfolio of more than 3M square feet in 6 of the 7 continents, with significant real estate activity as we grow and diversify as a business and evolve our workplace strategy.
Specifically, this position will focus on a regional portfolio and is responsible for the development of deep analysis and thoughtful communication to inform real estate strategies. Throughout this process, the Senior Analyst will be a business partner coordinating with local offices and directly supporting the GRE Workplace, Transactions, and Capital Projects teams through the real estate life cycle. This position is built around teamwork, meeting customer needs, identifying trends and shortfalls in the portfolio, and developing new ways of driving change in a culturally diversified portfolio. A successful candidate will be able to design a compelling story, structure and solve problems, communicate solutions, and navigate cultural nuances, as well as integrate seamlessly with a global BCG team.
BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide analysis expertise to inform direction of portfolio projects, from strategy development to real estate approval and implementation
- Develop creative and impactful analyses to drive real estate decisions and strategies
- Effectively communicate with GRE and office stakeholders to jointly develop real estate strategies that balance business priorities within a global framework
- Manage business case development process, including structure, storyboard, and analysis, and pull in resources as required
- Liaise with and be accountable for output from external vendors who support financial analysis and other analytical work
- Track metrics and benchmarks relevant to the performance of the portfolio and individual projects
- Develop a deep understanding of the portfolio, identifying trends to determine BCG’s position relative to competition, industry, and other business segments, or trends in spending
- Participate in preparation of Executive Committee and other key stakeholder presentations, quarterly and annual reporting of real estate portfolio and CAPEX performance
- Take active role in evolving Portfolio Analysis, and work collaboratively with other Senior Analysts to develop and share best practices and process improvement
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; consulting experience a plus
- 5-7 years relevant work experience, preferably in a global environment
- Established track record of stakeholder management experience in a global environment
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, graphs and storyboarding
