Job Description

iBorrow is seeking an Investment Associate/Analyst for its West Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have approximately 2-3 years of commercial real estate experience and will understand the debt financing side of the business. Ideally, we would like someone that will stay and grow in this role, and will not want to transition into an originator role. The position offers a candidate to master a number of different skills, hands on training and the ability to gain experience in different aspects of the debt business.

 

This opportunity requires a diverse skill set, and the candidate must be able to multitask effectively. This job will entail three primary components:

 

  1. Underwriting/Loan Closing
    1. This role will be responsible for the entire Loan Closing process:
      1. Find sale and lease comparables to value the property
      2. Gather all financials to analyze the property’s cash flow
      3. Writing up the Letter of Intents
      4. Setting up kick-off calls between all parties, as well as gathering all contacts for the transaction
      5. Manage the due diligence checklist.
      6. Ordering third party reports, including appraisals, property condition reports, and Phase Is
      7. Drafting a deal summary memo for each deal, including all information about the loan
      8. Working with our counsel to gather all documentation in the Loan Closing Agenda
      9. Borrower due diligence and onboarding. Setting up a folder and dropbox for each deal, and responsible for keeping track of all information provided
      10. Making sure all documents that need to be signed by iBorrow are promptly signed, and sent to Escrow
      11. Uploading the deal onto our website once the deal is closed and follow up on post-closing items.
  2. Investor Relations
    1. This role will be responsible for correspondence with fund nvestors:
      1. Relaying information to existing and potential fund and co-investors via deal memorandums and loan summaries
      2. Working with controller and fund administrator to ensure all documentation is in good order
      3. Acting as the general point of contact for investors with respect to anything they may need
  3. Miscellaneous
    1. Ensuring the website is up to date and reflects all current information
    2. Managing marketing activities of the firm including conferences and newsletters
    3. Assembling marketing materials (presentations, etc.)
    4. Organizing loan documentation and subscription agreements
    5. Organizing company events
    6. Handling all company social media
