Job Description
The primary functions are to support the client, data center construction team (Client / Owner's team) in EHS activities, including monitoring the EHS performance of on-site construction contractors.
This support requires a broad range of activities that includes: interfacing, coaching, advising, technical support, etc.. Specific responsibilities are outlined below. These owner's EHS reps (also known as CSFs) will not direct the work, but should make every effort to engage the onsite construction contractor management and supervision to take appropriate action where a noncompliance situation is observed as soon as reasonably possible. CSFs will report to owner/client's regional Construction Safety / EHS Program Managers.
CSF roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Routinely monitor the Contractor's EHS performance to ensure that the Contractor is in compliance with their stated practices and procedures, regulatory requirements and any additional owner expectations/deliverables that may have been identified in the contract of work EHS Schedule.
Interface and support the construction management team at site by delivering current data on Contractor EHS performance, including: trending, incident management, EHS metrics and other key information that enable DC construction management to make informed timely decisions.
Participate in communication methods, such as safety meetings and notices to ensure relevant EHS information is communicated across the site by Contractor's and ensure that DC management is included as well.
Ensure a weekly site safety walk is conducted with the Contractor management representative and the Owner's PM/team.
Participate in a daily site safety walk with the Contractor safety rep.
Act as a coach and advisor to the Contractor safety committee.
Evaluate the completeness and effectiveness of the Contractor's hazard assessments(RAMS, JHAs, ARTs, etc.).
Lead creation of Significant Events(SE) and Significant Potential Events(SPE).
When non-compliance and/or non-conformance is observed, immediately bring the issue to the attention of that individual and key stakeholders as appropriate.
Ensure KPIs, leading/lagging indicators and EHS data submitted by the Contractor is accurate, timely and complete.
Conduct the monthly Contractor EHS audit.
Implement and maintain Boots on the Ground program.
Participate in progress and schedule meetings.
Assist in design reviews throughout the Life Cycle-planning, as requested/required(Design, permitting, construction, cx, handover, etc.).
Attend client training as requested.
Evaluate/audit Site Specific Safety Plan to conformance to Project Manual requirements.
Understand and ensure operational EHS requirements are adhered to.
Support client's initiatives as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum four or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience.
Experience in K-12 projects is a plus.
Documented experience on a High School project also a plus.
Experience in General Contracting, CM at Risk, or CM Multi-Prime a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, contracts, and construction practices.
Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements. Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems. Passion for being detail oriented and highly organized.
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
