Leasing Associate - Healthcare Trust of America Boston (Weymouth), MA Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. (NYSE: HTA) is the largest owner/operator of medical office properties in the Nation. HTA is a publicly traded real estate investment trust that acquires, owns and operates medical office buildings. Since 2006, the company has invested over $6.8 billion in medical office buildings and other healthcare assets comprising more than 23 million square feet across 32 states. We are searching for a Leasing Associate based in the Weymouth office who will join a team directly responsible for new and renewal leasing in HTA’s Northeast portfolio. Candidate will provide administrative support to SVP of Leasing & Acquisitions, will have direct responsibilities for some new and renewal leasing, and will be responsible for prospecting, researching market trends (including rental rates, concessions, expenses and vacancy), organizing market research, quarterly reporting and assisting in leasing efforts directly related to a portfolio of on-campus and off-campus medical office buildings. REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in medical and/or commercial office leasing (medical office leasing experience preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MA or NY Real Estate salesperson’s license
- Lease negotiation experience
- Experience with cold calling and canvassing
- Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills
- Above average technical proficiency (versed in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and CoStar)
- Developed interpersonal skills – comfortable working in a team environment
- Top-notch communication skills, both verbal and written
- Affiliation with commercial real estate and healthcare industry organizations
- Proven marketing and creative prospecting tactics
- Both assisting and leading new and renewal lease negotiation and corresponding financial analysis for a portfolio totaling over 5 Million SF of pure medical office space
- Involvement with preparation of all leasing documentation, including but not limited to, leases, amendments, final lease submission packages
- Conducting property tours with potential tenants and brokers
- Preparing and updating marketing materials, including but not limited to, brochures, flyers, stacking plans, floor plans
- Coordinating and facilitating ongoing market survey
- Working within the local brokerage community to develop tenant prospects and to accumulate pertinent market data
- Email and physical address database management: prospects, tenants, brokers
- Tracking daily activity and net operating income through Salesforce
- Implementation and oversight of various marketing strategies
- Regularly visiting vacant spaces to ensure “show ready” condition
- Professional interaction with tenants, brokers, hospital clients and organization’s senior management
- Coordinating with other employees to orchestrate and oversee all tenant relations events
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
