Transaction Manager, Debt Investments

Company Description Rubenstein Partners is the fund manager for a series of real estate private equity funds focused on complex value-added office investments throughout the United States.  The firm is fully vertically-integrated and provides first-class investment services on behalf of its investor base, which consists of some of the nation’s preeminent public and private pension funds, university endowments and family offices. Rubenstein Mortgage Fund (“RMF”) is open-end debt fund that originates and holds floating rate first mortgage loans secured by transitional office real estate in the U.S.     Job Description Rubenstein Partners is seeking a candidate to join the firm as a Transactions Manager dedicated to RMF and the firm’s debt investment platform. The position will report to the Portfolio Manager (head of debt platform) and will involve a wide range of responsibilities including:  

• Underwriting and screening potential transactions in coordination with other team members
• Assisting in the origination and due diligence process
• Deal execution/closing, including working with all related third party providers
• Drafting memoranda for investment committee
• Other activities including assisting in asset management, investor relations, and fund administration

    Qualifications

• Strong academic performance, concentrating in Real Estate and/or Finance
• Experience in commercial real estate originations and loan closings
• Exceptional quantitative and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with Argus
