Job Description

DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners (“DLJ RECP”) is looking to hire a motivated, highly-skilled intern candidate who would provide acquisitions and asset management support. The position has a minimum time commitment of 20 hours per week (up to 40 hours per week OK) and is located in our West Los Angeles office. The duration of the internship is expected to span until August 2019; successful candidates will be considered for extending beyond such date. Compensation dependent on experience.
 
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
• Currently an incoming Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Real Estate, or equivalent
• Demonstrated interest and passion for real estate
• Exceptionally strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills – written, oral, and interpersonal
• High degree of organization with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member
• Self-starter that does not need ongoing supervision
• Positive attitude and willingness to receive constructive feedback
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word), including word processing, spreadsheet management, presentation editing, and creating and editing PDFs
• Prior financial modeling experience, a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct real estate market research and assist in due diligence of potential investments
• Assist with asset management functions including leasing, loan servicing and interfacing with property management teams
• Support tracking of internal projects and other administrative tasks as needed
• Produce financial models to evaluate potential investments

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
The firm prides itself on its flat management structure, small deal teams, and the degree of responsibility that its investment professionals enjoy. The Intern will be involved in many aspects of assessing and executing commercial real estate-related transactions, as well as the day-to-day management of investments. Time- permitting, the Intern will also accompany the deal team on on-site property visits of prospective opportunities and existing investments. The Intern will also benefit from having direct contact with the firm’s acquisitions, asset management and development professionals, along with a broad team of outside consultants and advisors.
