Carpenter

Position Summary:  To maintain all facilities to ensure an operable and safe complex.  To service all exhibitors and buyers in a friendly and professional manner.  Must be flexible in work schedule to allow for markets, special events and emergencies to require occasional overtime and weekends as needed.

 

 

 

 

Position Description (Italics reflect performance appraisal criteria):

 

Maintains DMC complex; builds drywall, cabinets, countertops, etc.;

Patches and repairs brick or cinder block as ncecessary

Effectively repairs and/or installs suspended ceilings

Replaces glass fronts of showrooms accurately

Maintains clean and orderly work areas; minimizes disruption to operations

Works safely while meeting the physical demands of the position

Adheres to OSHA regulated policies and procedures

Other related duties as assigned

Must have valid, active Driver License with no restrictions

Required Education:

 

High School Diploma or equivalent

 

 

 

Required Experience:

 

5 years of carpentry experience

Build and install laminate countertops

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

Lift up to 70 lbs; will lift/carry 40lbs on a frequent basis

Extensive walking and standing

Work outside in the elements up to 25% of the time
