Job Description
Principal Objection of Position:
The primary function of the Asset Manager is to assist the Vice President of Acquisitions & Investments in all aspects of the administrative, financial, capital and operations of the multifamily, senior, industrial and self-storage portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee local third-party property managers and leasing agents
- Assist in the preparation and approval process of property operating budgets
- Monthly review of operating statements
- Review any required financial analysis, market studies and industry standard reporting
- Recognize and investigate, and communicate issues relating to senior management
- Review and manage value added strategies and capital improvements
- Work with disposition and acquisition teams through out the life of an asset to realize the objectives of the investment
- Be abreast of current trends concerning the demographics, product supply, economic drivers that affect a portfolio
- Ensure effective implementation of the business plan by working with third party managers and senior management
Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
- Possess five years experience as an Asset Manager
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Experience in developing and managing budgets
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment within tight schedules and meet strict deadlines
- Expertise in Microsoft Office package, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong ability to think analytically and strategically, and to execute tactically
- Experience working with a portfolio of multifamily senior housing assets would be a plus
- Industry Accreditation Preferred - CCIM
