One of only a handful of such programs in the world, the Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program at the David Eccles School of Business delivers the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to build and sustain a successful real estate career. What’s more, the program gives you a clear and uncommon edge in today’s increasingly sophisticated and specialized world.

A joint venture between the Eccles School and the College of Architecture + Planning, the MRED program is designed for students and professionals with varied backgrounds and experience. The program employs a flexible format, with late-afternoon and evening classes that accommodate both working professionals and full-time students.

Program Highlights

The David Eccles School of Business offers professional career management services and a dedicated MRED career counselor to provide students with guidance on all aspects of finding a great career. Students have access to recruiting events, an exclusive jobs database, one-on-one consultations with their career coach, and unprecedented access to hundreds of real estate professionals. These resources yield powerful results for MRED graduates, including 94 percent placement within six months for the 2014-2015 graduating class and an average starting salary in excess of $70,000 per year.

The GCRE, Graduate Certificate in Real Estate, is an 18 credit hour program drawing from courses exclusively in business and architecture + planning. The pre-requisites for admission to the program include status as a graduate student at the University of Utah in good standing, and FINAN 3040 – Fundamentals of Corporate Finance or its equivalent from the University of Utah or elsewhere.
