About
The Myers-Lawson School of Construction is the product of many hard working and generous faculty, staff, students and alumni from the Civil and Environmental Engineering (Vecellio Construction Engineering and Management Program) and Building Construction Departments at Virginia Tech. Even a casual contextual understanding of these two departments reveals they are housed within highly ranked and respected Colleges, the College of Engineering, and the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.
The mission of the Myers-Lawson School of Construction is to enhance Virginia Tech’s strong position of national leadership in construction outreach, research and education. The School will provide opportunities for faculty, alumni, students and ideas to flow across disciplines, departments and nations through collaboration, cooperation and contribution to a common vision.
