Academic programs, industry outreach and research are the pillars of the UC Real Estate Center. The Center is at the intersection of industry leaders, students, academic programs, high quality research and the real estate community. It is a resource for students and industry leaders to network and become immersed in the real estate industry.
Their partnerships, and strong corporate engagement allows the Real Estate Center and academic programs to excel. Their program is growing, reaching global connections through local, national and international professional involvement and successful alumni.
Flexible and multi-disciplinary, the undergraduate program in real estate combines a core curriculum covering the functional areas of business (accounting, finance, information systems, management, marketing, and quantitative analysis) with specialized coursework in real estate.
The MBA with a concentration in real estate was launched in September 1991 in response to an increasing demand for graduate education across the nation in the field, particularly among corporate real estate divisions and institutional investors. Support from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and exposure to groups like the Building Owners Managers Association (BOMA), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE), National Association of REALTORS (NAR) and others, provided invaluable networking opportunities for the University of Cincinnati.
