General Description

Mission Capital Advisors, LLC is a leading capital markets advisory firm and we are seeking an individual to join our Residential and Consumer Loan Sale Advisory group. This individual will be responsible for the overall transaction management of bulk whole loan transactions. This position supports senior members of Mission Capital Advisors, LLC in their residential and consumer whole loan sale efforts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity and s/he will increase knowledge and experience in the performing/distressed/charge off residential and consumer loan trading business while gaining exposure to debt capital markets participants/customers, including commercial and investment banks, specialty finance companies, and funds.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

To achieve the stated objectives for this position, the following duties will be required:

  1. Manage whole loan transactions from start to finish
  2. Loan portfolio data review, normalization, stratification and analysis in Excel / Liquidaty
  3. Financial modeling, mortgage pricing and cash flow projections in Excel, Liquidaty
  4. Interact with sellers, buyers, legal counsel, due diligence vendors and other stakeholders
  5. Transaction Management: Preparation / organization of due diligence materials, coordinate data transfer with servicers and third parties, transaction status reporting, transaction calendar management, review / summarize Loan Sale Agreements, Interim Servicing Agreements, Deal Stipulations, tie out funding schedule / loan population, schedule data for agreements
  6. Collection and analysis of market data, investor preferences, track whole loan transactions in marketplace
  7. Assist in responses to client RFPs

Experience, Skills and Abilities Required

To achieve the stated objectives for this position the ideal candidate will possess the following:
  1. Mortgage or structured products experience, analyst training program at financial services firm (bank, consulting/accounting, REIT)
  2. Strong MS Excel and database skills, visual basic and python scripting a plus, Liquidaty experience a plus
  3. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and perform in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
  4. Strong writing skills
  5. Ability to learn quickly, attention to detail, ability to work as part of a team
