Description


Foresight Affordable Housing, Inc. is a nonprofit Affordable Housing provider in search of a VP of Acquisitions and Development. In this role the Manager of Acquisitions and Development will be responsible for, but not limited to, Foresight s development operations with sensitivity to nonprofit regulations and requirements, completing viability assessments of new acquisition and development opportunities, analyzing projected financial operations inclusive of transactional proformas, completing HUD, state or local agency requirements, completion of financial applications as needed, representing the corporation for any defined assignment and providing the VP of Corporate Affairs and the Board Members status updates of all development, refinance and divestiture efforts upon request. This position will have the flexibility to work remotely several days per week. This position has long term growth opportunities and upward mobility.

 

Position Specifics:

  • The Vice President of Acquisitions and Development ( VPAD ) is a full-time position and is responsible to facilitate Foresight s acquisitions, new developments, refinances and divestitures.
  • The VPAD reports directly to the Vice President of Corporate and Development Affairs ( VPCA )
  • The VPAD coordinates all development related activities from beginning to end inclusive of lender data collection, ownership and finance document review and HUD 2530 submissions
  • The VPAD can utilize the resources of the Asset Manager, Office Administrator and the Financial Administrator to help facilitate their role.
  • The VPAD is responsible for, but not limited to, Foresight s development operations with sensitivity to nonprofit regulations and requirements, completing viability assessments of new acquisition and development opportunities, analyzing projected financial operations inclusive of transactional proformas, completing HUD, state or local agency requirements, completion of financial applications as needed, representing the corporation for any defined assignment and providing the VPCA and the Board Members status updates of all development, refinance and divestiture efforts upon request.

The VPAD is responsible to direct the efforts and assist any Foresight transactional consultants engaged to augment Foresight s development and acquisition ability for any project(s).

 

Experience: Ten (10) years progressive experience in real estate and development

Education: A Bachelor s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university augmented by at least one professional accreditation(s) in the affordable housing, real estate or legal industries.

Administrative and Management: Knowledge of business principles involved in strategic planning, analytics and time management as well as being the point person in the development process from inception to closing.

Law and Government: Knowledge of HUD, FHLB and state agency lending requirements helpful inclusive of filing HUD 2530 as well as FHLB and state agency compliance documents.

Economics and Accounting: Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the ability to analyze and report on financial data

Building and Construction: Basic knowledge of materials, blueprint interpretation and construction methods.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
